What is corporate matching?

Companies will match their employees’ contributions to nonprofit organizations (US based 501(c)(3)) doubling the money you donate to the organization.

 

When should I apply for corporate matching?

As soon as you make your donation! Each company distributes funds differently, some right away, others process them once a quarter. Some companies have limited windows in which employees are required to submit corporate match requests. If corporate matching is offered by your employer, please apply right away.

 

Does my employer have a corporate matching program?

Check with your employer’s benefits/HR department on look on your employer’s intranet for details. You may also check online at Charity Navigator.

 

What if River Eves Elementary PTA is not on my company’s list?

Your employee may be able to add River Eves Elementary School PTA, INC to the list of organizations eligible for corporate match. You may need the following information:

What is the typical process for corporate matching? 
Each company has a different process for employer matching. In general, the steps to corporate matching are:

  1. Check to see if your employer participates in corporate matching and timelines for matching. (See above.)
  2. Find out if River Eves Elementary PTA is already listed as a non-profit (501(c)(3)) with your company for corporate matching.
  3. If River Eves Elementary PTA is not listed, request that River Eves Elementary PTA be added to their list. (See above.) 
  4. Submit matching requests electronically via your employer’s employee or giving portal, along with your original contribution receipt.
  5. If your employer requires manual submissions, please complete it, scan it and email it to riverevespta@gmail.com for completion. 
  6. Confirmation of corporate match is emailed to riverevespta@gmail.com and a check is sent to River Eves Elementary. (See Above.)


What if your employers requests additional information?
Companies may contact us to request copies of our letter for determination and/or other documents. If you have applied for your employer’s matching program, please send a brief message to our PTA email riverevespta@gmail.com to let us know that your employer may be contacting us for more information or to make a donation.
